چکیده
We present results of rst epoch high resolution imaging observations of four extremely distant quasars. The sample includes the only two radio-loud quasars at redshift z > 4 known to the date of observa-The milliarcsecond scale structures of these quasars are dominated by compact cores. The two z > 4 quasars are unresolved on the baselines observed. We show that the apparently less prominent mil-liarcsecond scale extended radio structures in high redshift quasars than in their low redshift counterparts may be explained by the diierence in spectral indices of the cores and jets.

VLBI imaging of extremely high redshift quasars at 5 GHz
We present very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) images of ten very high redshift (z > 3) quasars at 5 GHz. Most of the sources are resolved and show asymmetric structure. The sample includes 1428+423, the most distant radio loud quasar known to date (z = 4.72). It is barely resolved with an angular resolution of about 2.0×1.4 mas.

متن کاملF-18 FDG PET/CT Imaging of Eccrine Sweat Gland Carcinoma of the Scrotum with Extensive Regional and Distant Metastases
Eccrine carcinoma is an extremely rare malignant skin cancer arising from eccrine sweat glands with a high metastatic potential. It mainly occurs in the elderly, with equal incidence in both sexes. It usually spreads to regional lymph nodes, with liver, lungs, and bones being the most common sites of distant metastasis. Because of tumor rarity, little is known about the value of F18- FDG PET/CT...
متن کاملRadio Identification of the X-ray Jet in the Z=4.3 Quasar Gb 1508+5714 C. C. Cheung
The recent discovery of an X-ray jet in the z=4.3 quasar GB 1508+5714 by Yuan et al. (astro-ph/0309318) and Siemiginowska et al. (astro-ph/0310241) prompted a search for its radio counterpart. Here, we report the successful discovery of faint radio emission from the jet at 1.4 GHz using archival VLA data. Possible interpretations of the X-ray jet as synchrotron or inverse Compton emission off t...
متن کاملFaint galaxies around quasars at z = 1 and gravitational lensing of distant objects
Very deep imaging data of three optically luminous radio-loud quasars with redshifts between z = 0.9 and z = 1.36 are presented. The data are complete for galaxies down to R = 26. There is no evidence for excess numbers of galaxies around the quasars; foreground galaxy clusters are excluded by the data aswell as clusters with richness classes greater than 1 associated with the quasars.Wefind cl...
